Credit my good buddy Eric Lai for the heads up – thanks man!
So, this one’s pretty straightforward.
Long story short, they’ll match any # of points you have in a Virgin America Elevate account, and actually give you *more* points than you have in that Elevate account, up to 75,000 TrueBlue points for 50,001+ Elevate points.
All you have to do is send them a screenshot showing your Elevate points balance by July 4th, 2016, and then take a single roundtrip flight on JetBlue (can get some really cheap ones, ~$100) before August 31st, 2016.
And don’t worry if you don’t have any Elevate points right now. You can transfer from AMEX Membership Rewards, Citibank ThankYou Points, and SPG Starwood Preferred Guest points.
AMEX MR and Citi TY points transfer at 2 points to 1 Elevate point, but SPG points are 1:1 with a bonus 5,000 miles for every 20,000 transferred, so that you can get 50,000 Elevate points for just 40,000 SPG points transferred.
And if you don’t have that many points to transfer – don’t worry. You can still get plenty of points as per the chart below.
75,000 TrueBlue points are worth 1.4-1.7 cents in economy, so that’s over $1000 in value for the cost of a single roundtrip ticket to anywhere you’d want to go this summer that JetBlue flies.
If you’re sold, just take a screenshot of your Virgin America Elevate account like so:
And then email it, along with your TrueBlue account number, to firstname.lastname@example.org, and wait for confirmation that you’re successfully enrolled. Then take one roundtrip flight, and see your bonus points posted in 4-6 weeks. All done.
Hard to get better than this deal. Doing it myself. Will keep y’all posted.
